Raleigh, NC (June 15, 2007) - Makhteshim Agan of North America, Inc. (MANA) announces the hiring of Gary Tuxhorn, Ph.D, as a field development and technical services manager.  He will be responsible for supporting new product research, conducting field trials and supplying technical information to the company's area business managers regarding the MANA product portfolio.

In addition to being a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA), Tuxhorn has accumulated over 20 years of field experience during his career, compiling a strong background in product research and an exceptional service record.

Most recently, Tuxhorn was a corporate agronomist with United Suppliers, Inc., designing and overseeing product trials as well as providing technical training for salespeople, dealers and growers. Prior to that, he worked in research positions with American Cyanamid for nearly a decade.

Tuxhorn graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in agriculture and soil science, earning a master's degree in weed science in 1983. He received a Ph.D. in soil science from Washington State University in 1989 and was certified as a CCA in 1995. Tuxhorn has served on the agronomy committee for the Agribusiness Association of Iowa and as a representative to the Ag Retailers Association Board of Directors.

Based in the Kansas City area, Tuxhorm will serve as a resource to both the MANA sales team and MANA customers.
