John Salazar, a potato grower in San Luis Valley of southern Colorado, newly elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, will serve on the House Agriculture Committee.

He will go on the Committee chaired by Bob Goodlatte as one of five minority party members.

Salazar is a well respected grower and has been active in SLV potato and Colorado political functions. 

Other minority party members on the Committee include Henry Cuellar, TX, Charlie Melancon, LA, Jim Costa, CA and John Barrow, GA.

Majority party members new to the Committee include Charles W. Boustany Jr., LA, John J.H. Schwartz, MI, John R. Randy Kuhl Jr., NY, Virginia Foxx, NC, K. Michael Conaway, TX, and Jeff Fortenberry, NE.
