Wilbur-Ellis Acquires S.R. Chem Seed Business

Wilbur-Ellis announced today it has acquired the potato seed treatment business of Snake River Chemical Inc., of Caldwell, ID.

The purchase includes the alder bark formulation patents, potato seed treatment products and registrations and the potato seed-piece treatment manufacturing business.

The purchase did not include the Snake River Chemical Company manufacturing facilities in Caldwell.

The alder bark line of products compliments Wilbur-Ellis' overall branded product line of marketing and strategy, said Jim Loar, vice president of marketing and supplier relations.

No other details of the October 8 transaction were given in the release sent from the company's San Francisco office through its Pasco, WA, outlet.
