NPC Works On Vapam Re-registration

The National Potato Council announced it is working with registrants, the EPA, and USDA to provide input on the risk-assessment documents being prepared by the EPA on the use of Vapam.

The Health Effects Division chapter and other documents have been delivered to the registrants for error corrections.

Represesntataives of the potato industry and other crops for which Vapam is important, have been communicating with the EPA on the need for realistic risk assessments.

The Office of Pesticide Programs has also been hosting conference calls with grower groups to identify use and other data needed for the re-registration process.
