The National Potato Foundation is seeking a new executive director after Bud Middaugh steps down from the position in January.

The Foundation, which has existed for over 20 years, has handled many U.S. industry programs.

Christine Anthony, chairperson of the NPF Search Committee, says the individual will handle the advancement of the NPF position in delivering programs and services to the industry that neither the National Potato Council nor United States Potato Board can provide.

Anthony says the NPF must grow and be managed as an organization capable of evaluating opportunities and information, developing effective plans for new program initiatives, funding programs by investing limited venture capital at critical start-up points to create new revenue streams and turn programs into profit centers, manage programs with a limited staff functioning in an oversight capacity to ensure success and strategic adherence while utilizing outside resources to accomplish most of the actual program activities.

The NPF office will be located in either Denver, CO, or Washington, DC, within existing offices of the NPC or USPB for efficiency and synergy.

Anthony may be contacted at fax number (715) 467-2212 or by e-mail at canthony@gglbbs.com.
