Prince Edward Island's potato crop is progressing nicely now that Mother Nature is smiling on growers. There have been no reports of blight, though there have been some in other Maritime provinces.

Growers hope for continued good weather for the next few weeks to size up what looks to be a terrific crop.

Ivan Noonan says growers have done good work. He is amazed at the amount of strip cropping being done to prevent runoffs. There have been no farm-related fish kills.
