Even though some seed lots are being turned back it appears some seed growers will not be able to sell an estimated 200,000 sacks in Idaho. Despite this, prices are remaining strong.

Most growers, still in the last week of planting in the Upper Snake River Valley, are paying $7-8/cwt for Norkotah seed.

Eastern Idaho acreage appears to be about the same as in other years, even though some growers are cutting back.
