Poore Brothers Inc. of Goodyear, AZ, announced today it had obtained the salted snack food account for Wal-Mart’s 700 supercenter stores nationwide.

Eric Kufel, president and CEO, said the company had recently begun to ship T.G.I. Friday’s brand salted snacks to Wall-Mart for distribution. The new product distribution was earned after two successful test markets in 2001. It reinforces the company’s belief that T.G.I. Friday’s snacks are a winning consumer proposition, he said.

The company will also introduce T.G.I. Friday’s salted snacks into the convenience store channel later this year. The brand is currently available in the mass merchandiser, grocery, club store, drug store, vending and foodservice channels.

Manufactured in Goodyear and in Bluffton, IN, the company makes snack chips, Poore Brothers potato chips, Bob’s Texas Style chips, Boulder Potato Company chips, and Tato Skins snacks. It also manufactures private label chips for major retailers in Arizona and California.
